How to Backup iTunes in Your Library

iTunes may contain all your loved music, videos and other data so a backup of iTunes is also a necessity to prevent the important data from being broken or lost. There are so many ways to backup things, and same is the case with your iTunes. Do you know how to backup your iTunes to your Library?

Method 1: Copy iTunes Data to an External Drive or an iPhone/iPad/iPod with Syncios iTunes Library to iOS Transfer.

Step 1. Download and install this iTunes Library to iOS Transfer tool.

Please be sure that iTunes has been already installed on your computer for running this free iTunes Library Copy to PC properly. But you do not have to run iTunes.

Step 2. Copy iTunes Library to iOS Device for free via Syncios

Click iTunes Library under Toolkit, a window will pop up. You can see Music, Videos, Podcasts, TV shows, Audiobooks, iTunesU tabs. Press one of the tab, corresponding files will be listed on the main window. Simply choose the files selectively you need and hit Transfer to device button to transfer iTunes file to your iPhone/iPad/iPod.

Method 2: Backup your iTunes Library to Another Computer.

Generally iTunes continues to save your downloaded or purchased data in an iTunes folder in your computer. As long as you plug an external hard drive into another computer and shift the iTunes into it, you can get your iTunes data into this computer. In addition, you also have an easy way to do that with Syncios iOS Manager.

1. Download Syncios iOS Manager onto two computers and connect your iOS device to your computer. Then launch the smart tool on your computer first.

Download the software first, and then plug your iPhone/iPad/iPod to your computer. After that, please run Syncios iOS Manager and it will automatically regconize your iOS device on the main window and show it on the left panel.
2. Copy iTunes Library to your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch.

Click Toolkit at the top of Syncios, and then hit iTunes Library. Select the files you plan to transfer to the new computer, and then choose the icon of Transfer to device. Now you get the files out to the iOS device.

3. Connect your iOS device to the destination computer. Launch Syncios iOS Manager on this computer.

Now plug your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch into the destination computer and launch the transfer tool. You will also see your device listed on the left panel on Syncios iOS Manager.

4. Move the iTunes library to the destination computer.

Click Media and click the different icons on the right panel to select the files you want to transfer to your new computer. Then click Export to transfer the iTunes library to the new computer.

Method 3: Save your data by Burning CD/DVD.

Even though burning CD/DVD is really time-consuming and you may need more than one CD/DVD depending on your file size, it is indeed a safer way to backup your iTunes. In case of the OS getting crashed, you can also get a copy of iTunes by burning a CD/DVD, which can satisfy your demand of accessing your video/audio files at any time and any computer.

Please follow the steps below to fully accomplish the process easily.

Step 1: Launch iTunes on your own computer, and now create a new playlist which you prefer to play in your CD/DVD.

Simply navigate to the playlists icon at the top of iTunes. Click the Plus icon at the buttom left corner. Then choose the New Playlist option.
