- At first, check whether system meets the minimum requirements for installation of Office 2010 suite, which are:
- Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, and 2008, Windows 7, and Widows 8 Operating system
- 256 MB of RAM
- A minimum of 3.5 GB free disk space on the drive containing OS
- A processor of 500 MHz or bigger
- Insert the CD/DVD containing the Office 2010 suite. It will start installation process automatically, but if it does not, then start it by going to the Disk Drive through My Computer. Double click on the drive and then setup.exe to execute the start of installation.
- A window will open which will require the 25-letter key for activation. It will be present on the CD/DVD box and after inserting the key, click on continue.
- Click on the “I accept terms of agreement†and then on continue.
- The next window presents two options: “Install Now†and “Customizeâ€. If you want to select only a few limited desktop applications, choose “Customizeâ€. This option can also be used if one wishes to install this in different drive. And for a regular and full Office 2010 installation, select “Install Now†option.
- It will now process the installation which may take 30-40 minutes depending on the system’s configuration and storage.
- After that, click on Close and start exploring Office 2010.
Users should install Office 2010, after buying a genuine product, directly from the Microsoft or from a reliable MS Office suite vendor.
