After a great deal of research, Bob sat in his small apartment pondering a question that had been on his mind for weeks now. So, deciding to end his torture, Bob stepped out into the sunlight to find someone who could answer his question - why choose Comcast for cable and internet? As he walked down the street he stopped the first person he found. Surprised, the person listened as he posed his question: What are the benefits of cable and internet?

The person told him that with cable and internet, he could find information that would help him organize his life. He could keep a calendar, find planned events, save all his files, pictures, and music. He could find directions to places, get phone numbers, even purchase tickets to travel there and attend events. With an amazed look, Bob thanked them and moved on. The next person Bob saw was perplexed when he posed his question.

This person told him how he could conduct all his business online. He could do his banking, pay his bills, track his budget, even his paychecks. He could buy and sell things, read what other people said about products. He could even open his own business online. Bob shook his head in wonder. Yet he did not feel he had the full answer to his question, so he walked on, stopping yet another person to ask his question.

The person shared with him the fact that he could communicate with people around the world instantly, with the use of chat programs, instant messenger services, video chats, emails, and message boards. He could join social media sites and catch up with people he hadn't talked to in years, track down relatives, and share events in his life through status updates, tweets, and blog posts. Bob pondered these facts as he walked away. But yet once more he felt the need to stop the next person and pose his question to them: What are the benefits of cable and internet?

The stranger filled his ears with the joys of having information at your fingertips at any time. You could research topics that interest you, watch documentaries, read books, take classes, find out medical information, study languages, check the weather, watch and read the news from around the world. This made B

ob feel confident that it was a wise choice. But perhaps one last person. When he saw a final person walking towards him, he asked him the question.

This person seemed to have the wisest and best answer of all: Saves money in the long run.

With his question of why choose Comcast for cable and internet answered, Bob could finally rest at ease. The truth of the matter is, all of that and more is available at our fingertips today.

While many people use the internet for different reasons, there are some tasks that seem to be common to everyone. The top five uses for the internet, according to infoplease are listed as: send or receive email, use a search engine to find information, search for driving directions, look for information on a hobby or interest, and research products before purchasing them. While many might think that social media sites are the biggest draw to the internet, surfing the internet for fun doesn't even enter the list until number 13.

In Closing

The internet can accomplish most anything we want to do in our lives. According to Statistic Brain the average person spends 66 hours a month on the internet. People send more than 210 billion emails a day. So it is no wonder there are so many asking the questions. Many people are using the internet to manage most aspects of their lives, business and pleasure.

While it is true that many forms of entertainment can be found on the internet, the uses of this technology are much farther reaching into lives. And as technology expands and becomes more advanced, the choices seem to only grow.
