What will be the Google Keyword tool replacement?

Google has announced that Google Keyword Tool Replacement will be required in the following months as this long running and highly valuable tool for SEO experts will be shut down. The information that webmasters drew from this tool is priceless as it allowed them to have an insight into popular search patterns and granted them access to new visitors. The entire process is fairly straightforward, as all that is required to use the Google Keywords tool is a valid account. The service is entirely free, which might come as a surprise, given the potential financial gain for webmasters. Combined with Google Analytics and Adsense, this tool represents a powerful platform for every webmaster. It is however debatable how much actual quality click-able terms can be found through Keyword tool since it is hardly in Google's best interest, but it allows webmasters to direct traffic to their site according to their choice of keywords.

Google keyword planner
Following the cancellation of the Keyword tool, Google will want to make sure the majority of its users transfer to the Keyword planner, a sort of a replacement tool. There are several significant differences between the two, mainly in the way they display and distribute data. In order to qualify for use of the Keyword planner users have to register an Adword account, whereas the Keyword tool was a standalone app that was accessible without any need for other services. The new tool in the shed, the Keyword planner is already operational and can be accessed through a contextual menu on the Adwords account page. It offers better refinement of the search terms, and a wider array of substitute and/or expanding keywords, which makes it more valuable to webmasters.

But, Google is not the only contender. Even though the Google keyword tool represents the biggest authority in this market segment, there are other tools that can deliver similar, or same results.

Wordtracker
This old timer has been on the market for well over 5 years and it has been overhauled several times over so that today, it is one of the best overall SEO and keyword research options available. It does charge a monthly fee, but it hosts an abundance of tools and apps that help webmasters with their campaigns, which more than makes up for the cost, and judging by the feedback, the monthly fee is quite worth it. In case you have doubts, they do offer a 7 day free trial.
Market Samurai
Despite it's name, this tool is actually quite good at what it advertises. Providing tracking and suggestion data for high CPC keywords. The price attached is quite high, so this tool is potentially appealing only to professionals and webmasters who run several sites. The tool includes a great competition checker for selected keywords so campaigns with lower frequency words can run smoothly and without fear.
SEM rush
SEM rush is the only free tool that is recommended. It is a bit short on functionality, especially compared to Wordtracker, but it's free. And it does exactly what it has to - collects data on keywords. This would be an excellent choice for beginners.
