I'm sure there are mytechlogy programmers who are familiar with HTML5 ... What if they put their knowledge to work to create Wii games? This is what Nintendo offers via the "Nintendo Web Framework", a framework for creating games on Wii U with web knowledge.
Available on the Nintendo developer portal, this tool can be used with HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS. You have access to the full use of the Wii U GamePad, and Wii Remote, allowing to create a game really adapted to the Wii U (unlike web games compatible with the browser Wii U). You will have access to the main functions of the Wii U, that is to say:
Access the functions of the Gamepad (loudspeakers, accelerometer, gyroscope, camera and well on touch screen).
Display your game on the Gamepad screen and on the TV screen.
Backup to internal memory and hard disks.
Access to the Miiverse (and incidentally, to the Nintendo Network).
The software Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, LoveFilm and the excellent Wii Street U, among others, were created with this tool, which also manages the video.
In addition, you can publish your games on the eShop without paying a certification fee or other taxes, and you can set the price of your games yourself. (Avoid the Flappy Bird 99 € 99 all the same ...). The framework itself is free, although it obviously needs a Wii U development kit to test your games during development, kit that would cost according to the $ 1500 corridor noises. Nintendo will pay you from the 1st game sold (important), there is no size limit for your games, Nintendo answers your questions 24H, and a button included in the framework allows you to automatically submit your game to Nintendo! In short, the paradise of the indés!
Currently, the games developed by this means are not yet available, despite a demonstration made today by Nintendo, with Mario vs. Donkey Kong coded on the Nintendo Web Framework, at the GDC'14, And the promise of the release of Glandarius Wing Strike which dates from August 2013 (in my opinion developers have found something more lucrative ...)
We can also think that this will allow the Wii U to have some of the best hits (although Angry Birds is already available on Wii U ... And this is far from being a hit. Holds ...) available on our current smartphones. As for this demonstration of Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Nintendo has not yet announced the actual release of this game. I think they have much more powerful tools to develop internally, and that this demonstration only has Aim to show the quality of the games that can be produced by this means.
If you wish or if you have more information about the Nintendo Web Framework, feel free to leave a comment! And a small bonus for those who read until the end you give a look to kinguin a platforme sells video-games and make your games chepear with Kinguin Discount Code .
