It was the perfect gadget for those who love to go out and yet still be connected to the Internet. It also became a perfect work tool for the working class who was always mobile due to work requirements. When before, it was the laptop that was the preferred tool of mobile employees, tablet PCs started to overtake its popularity.


Not to be outdone was the student population. It already became a common sight in schools seeing students carrying tote bags with laptops inside. But due to the popularity of tablet PCs, students are slowly shifting. Its ease of use and portability got the students patronizing and preferring it over laptops. This increase in the sales of tablet PCs in this market segment has encouraged manufacturers to have a model that would fit their needs. However, instead of making just one model, they opted to go for a customized model for each kind of student as each does have a unique need and reason as to why they purchased a tablet PC.
