This festive season looks bright for two things: plenty of snow which is enjoyed almost every years around this time and cheaper international calls from UK. Truely, the second one has always been a concen for most of us and though we know that Christmas is a time for being generous, international phone calls are not always welcome. But there is not any other way out too. You simply can't just wish your old uncle and aunt across in another country a Merry Christmas or Happy New Year over any chat messenger. Some things like warm greetings should either be forwarded in person or at least over the phone.

That is why there are cheap international access numbers for those who would be using the landline for calling their families and friends outside the UK. For those who want to use their mobile phones for making international calls also has the advantage of using text credit message from Just Dial to call up their known ones in some different country.

All thanks goes to a handful of companies in the UK who have introduced cheap international access numbers to make calls across the UK border. For example there is Calling Abroad.com. This company has introduced prepaid international phonecards that is going to help make cheaper international calls from UK.

Prepaid international phone cards have really made calling abroad cheaper. The calling rates start as low as 1p varying definitely with the destination country you are putting the call across to. But there is one advantage and that is the coverage that they provide. Calling Abroad.com for example puts international calls across to nearly 200 countries. Then there is the ease to use these cards. While using the international access numbers will need a landline, the prepaid international phone cards have the flexibility to be used straight into the mobile and dial the call. This frees you from the restrictions of time and place as you can make a call from any location and any time you wish.

For availing the service, the user just have to purchase the call credit via PayPal. A simple text message from your end and the call credit will be directly sent to your mobile phone. There are certain other advantages of international prepaid phonecards like the 90 days validity after which the card expires; plus there is no maintenance fee. Once that credit amount is over, your call will be disconnected automatically and you have to sent a top up request.

Cash purchase of the call credit is usually not allowed. So, if you intend to use an international phonecard for making cheaper international calls from UK, then you need to have a PayPal acount or should own at least a valid debit or credit card. There are no hidden costs generally but a connection charge between 2 pence and 20 pence is charged by companies like Calling Abroad on each call depending on the call duration and destination called.

All the international calls are charged from time of connection to the service. The charge is counted even if the destination number is engaged or the call is not answered. Therefore it is better to replace the handset if the calls are engaged or unanswered.

Prepaid international phone calls are slated to make the upcoming festive season cheerful. With the freedom to make calls abroad and that too at prices within the budget, there is no reason not to extend seasons greetings to all.

International calls are indeed very expensive if made from local numbers and sim cards. Prepaid intenational calling cards are easily available and simple to use and they help us save a lot of expenses on long distance calls. I buy phone cards online from www.callingcards.com, its secure and call quality is great. The rates are pretty good too.
