Several dating apps have been using proximity to connect potential dates, here is a new free app that does the same for professional networking. OpenApp is a free iOS app enables users to open up to business and professional networking. The intent is to take the awkwardness out of networking and make targeted connections are events, conferences and other venues. Open App uses the latest in Bluetooth LE and iBeacon technology on the iOS platform. The nifty apps features include:

As of OS X v10.9 and iOS 6, Mac and iOS devices can also function as Bluetooth low energy peripherals, serving data to other devices, including other Mac and iOS devices. The app basically turns your iphone into a beacon. This is a new and interesting take in the beacon application space.
