Android has launched its latest version of chocolaty and tasty KitKat 4.4. High on multi tasking features and responsiveness, the OK Google feature allows one to run it at as little space as 512MB of RAM. It allows one to perform searches, send texts, get directions or play one’s favorite tunes without even touching your phone’s screen. If you are too lazy to search something just say Ok Google followed by what you want it to do and zap, your work gets done! So don’t you think you deserve a KitKat break?

Although Google has reserved many of the yummiest goodies for its own smart phone, name ‘Nexus 5,’ this KitKat delivers a whole lot of other goodies for the non Google phone users. One will find high end security features, menu bars, transparent notification including other tasty stuffs. Some of its features include:

Google Experience Launcher:

Although this feature was first available only with Google Nexus 5, Google Experience Launcher integrates a perfect combination between the Google Search and Google Now. The new speech recognition feature allows one to tap the incorrect or unrecognized word for easy understanding. In fact the Google search allows one to link to geo-location-relevant web pages. Want more? Well this feature is pre-trained to act in response to the phrase "OK Google."

Hangouts for Android / Message Consolidation:

The chocolaty experience got tastier with the updated version of Hangouts that has beautifully replaced the regular and commonplace Google Talk and Messaging voice. One can now do SMS, MMS, group chats and even video calling in a single window. You don’t need to open too many tabs. If your device is running on Android 4.0 versions or higher you can easily send free message and opt for voice calling if you have a Gmail account and are in a Wi-Fi region.

New Phone App / Contact Prioritization:

This is a sweet feature especially for those with an ever growing contact list. Now instead of shifting through the entire list to find the current target, the app stores the most called contacts first. Not only this, if you are looking for business or places then you can type the name on the search box and you will provided with the contact number. The app also allows one to convert word based phone numbers to complete numerics.

Enhanced Caller ID:

With its enhanced caller id, it allows the user to collect information on the dialer. Say for example you have received a call from an unknown number that is not stored in your contact list, by linking to the web you can gather information on the caller, from where the call is generated and also the caller’s picture if there is any. Now how cool is this?

Printing Power:

With the Google Cloud print feature, one can now directly take printouts from their smart phones as long as the printer is connected to Google cloud print. One can print whole varieties of documents such as photos, Google Docs, web pages and other document types. In case you have a non cloud printer, then also you can take printouts from your smart phone as long as the PC is registered with Google Cloud Print.

DropBox App:

Android 4.4 also allows you to store all your files in DropBox so that even if your phone crashes you can still access all your documents from anywhere in the globe.

Quick-office Integration:

Google has integrated Quick-office in KitKat so that you can edit all your required documents, create work related spreadsheets, and make presentations using Microsoft Office or Google Docs - all this while you are on the go.

Bluetooth Messaging:

As texting while driving is being banned in certain States you can still do it via Android 4.4. The KitKat allows you to browse, define message as well as text-to-speech for email and SMS while you are driving the car. And for all this you don’t need to type. All you have to do is sync your phone with the audio systems of cars via Bluetooth. But to take full advantage of this feature, your car needs to have this capability.

Device Manager:

Android device manager is a boon for all the service providers, IT managers and all those individuals who tend to lose their phone. This app allows one to lock the screen of the phone as well as erase all data through factory reset. Suppose you are an IT professional who has lost his smart phone where many data and information s were stored which if leaks can create havoc. You can take the control in your situation by erasing all the information through factory reset. In fact this app also allows one to locate their phone by ringing it at the maximum volume even if the phone is on silent mode.

Other candies from the KitKat factory:

KitKat now boasts of Chromecast. So now you can easily stream videos from your smart phone or tablets through popular sites such as Netflix and YouTube and that too in the HDMI-equipped television using Google's $35 Wi-Fi device.

The Final Verdict:

After a long wait, there is a mobile version that allows one to perform so many different features in a smart and hassle free manner. The features range from some eye candy varieties to extremely healthy and nutritious ones. All you need to do now is to wait for the time when this Android 4.4 KitKat version is launched for other smart phones. In case you are one of the impatient ones who cannot wait for that long then you can easily opt the ROMs that are already available in the market.

So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and load this app in your phone and chill while you happily munch your KitKat.
