Crowd Funding Campaign Launched For Revolutionary Desktop Software - Image 1

Software developer Pavel Kostal has launched a crowd-funding campaign to fund the creation of Revolutionary Desktop, a new software that will turn any cell phone into a laptop computer.

The program, when completed, will allow anyone to use their smartphone same way like people use personal computer or laptop (beta version is already working). Kostal began working on the software three years ago when he saw the potential to use advancing technology to turn his phone into a workstation.

The goal of this campaign is to create software that will make the smartphone a substitute for a laptop or a desktop computer. People all over the world will be able to turn their phones into powerful workstations, so that they can continue working on documents, create presentations or easily perform any of the tasks that they would normally do on the computer from any location, Kostal says.

With the Revolutionary Desktop software, smartphones can be operated as portable mini computers without interfering with any of their usual functions. Once installed, the software will give the user access to programs similar to the PC which adapt to the size and interface of the phone. With the exception of a smaller screen, the user experience is similar to that of a laptop or desktop computer with the ability to create, edit and manage documents and files. More interesting information is at the campaign page.

The software will have its own user interface on the phone, allowing easy access for it to be used for work or entertainment, including playing games, music or watching videos. It will make it easy and convenient to continue working on important documents during travel or in circumstances where carrying a laptop is not an option. The program will also make it possible to use the phone as a replacement screen instead of purchasing a new monitor.

The crowd-funding campaign is seeking to raise $10,000 to complete the development of the software and make it available to consumers all over the world.
