Google Plus is one of the leading social media sites. Highest chances are you have an account but you do not know how to use it. It may not be as popular as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram but it does produce some really amazing results, as long as you know what to share there. Here are some of ideas of the content that you can post on Google Plus to help you create more engagements on the sites.

1. Share blog posts

People love to read. They may not fancy text books but anything that captures their attention, on the internet, they will read it. This is why posting your blog posts on Google Plus is the perfect way to grab the attention of the internet community. It all starts with one wonderful blog post and people will be clogging your website with the aim of getting to read more of your blog posts.

2. Local events

Who loves getting bored at home? Definitely no one and therefore a post concerning a local event can prove to be quite an interesting way to get people to notice your business’ presence or something of the sort. Always keep your fans or customers engaged with what is going on in and around the community. People share content and thus they will tell others of the event and that they heard it first from you. With such a minor step, your business’ popularity will grow dramatically.

3. Questions

Questions are great conversation starters. Ask a question on any other social media site- Twitter, Facebook, Quora, LinkedIn and so forth. Afterwards, share the answers that you will receive to that question. The questions you post should be mind-boggling (just enough to provoke your thoughts) and engaging. Remember to be relevant to your area of expertise as this will produce great response. This is a great way to generate feedback while still starting interesting discussions.

4. Fill in the blank contests

These do not really have to be contests per say but they are also wonders conversations starters like the aforementioned questions. By creating such an opportunity, you set yourself up for some really interesting responses. The comments and posts others make (including yours) will get people to participate because really they cannot help the temptation. People will always feel the need to chime in with their ideas as long as they are seeing others doing so.

5. Lists

This might sound ridiculous but top 10 lists are very interesting content. They do not have to be limited to ten items only. You will be surprised how many websites are dedicated to lists. It really do not matter what kind of list you post- top 10 reasons why people sleep or even more mysterious content. You will most definitely turn heads towards your Google Plus account.

6. Customer testimonial and stories

Sharing the stories and experiences of your customers is the perfect way of letting them do marketing for you. People tend to trust customer stories and testimonials for one reason- they present the business in different lights. What is it you can expect from this particular business? This is the question your content will answer.

7. Online contest

Organize a simple but very creative and engaging contest on Google Plus. The prizes that you give should be enticing and the rules of the contest very simple. The goal is to make people enter the competition to win that particular item. Contests that require people to give their contacts and such kind of things are not really the best. Just find a way of connecting them to your website. Bring in more contests and information that you think they will love to read.

8. Funny photos and video clips

Laughter is food for the soul and thus people will always go in the direction that has laughter. Posting a funny photograph or a video clip is a genius idea. This is as long as it is appropriate for your audience and does not draw in politics, religion or any sensitive subjects.

9. How-to videos

What does your business deal with? If you are the best, you probably know how to do that thing your potential client has no idea how to get started on. Posting a video on how to do this or the other will be truly beneficial to your audience and they will come back for more.

10. Customer’s content

You do not have to be the only posting on Google Plus. Let your clients upload and share their ideas, videos, pictures and music with their friends and followers. Encourage them to do this and also make sure you provide a place where they can share their content with others.
