Mobiles are becoming integral part of business ecosystem. Mobile apps can be seen everywhere and you get dragged into it more and more. However as a user you expect an app to be attractive, fast and trustworthy too. When you don’t see these qualities in an app, you just go for another one which performs similar functions. When it comes to enterprise level apps, it becomes more crucial to have an app for revenue flow with millions of users attached to it.

Here is a quick list of points against which you can check your app’s status. These points are related to platform, number of users associated, back end infrastructure etc. If you are in thought process of Mobile App Development for your business, then consider following 9 points and check your apps status against these points before launching -

  1. Is the user experience consistent over all platforms or networks? - Your app must perform equally well on all platforms and user should get consistent experience while operating from different devices. Try to keep things as simple as possible. Create UI that incorporates simple icons and images and user find it easy to navigate through it.
  2. Check app performance under various amount of user load? - A user does not really care if your app is supporting thousands of users at a time. He is interested in getting quick responses from your app. consider testing your app with different user loads and identify points where it start breaking or slowing down. You can implement some remedy to overcome this problem before launching it in the market.
  3. Create Support Infrastructure - Support infrastructure is important and should be ready simultaneously by the time your app is ready to launch. Anticipate user loads and be prepared to face any problems. You can have mechanism to monitor your server and other back-end systems so that you can notice anything going wrong at earliest.
  4. App delivery network readiness - check your network for bottlenecks and routers, switches for their performance. Take a look at your network security measures too.
  5. Check App Scaling - in case of increased user base, user experience should not go down. In fact your app must continue to provide high quality experience to large user population.
  6. Security while scaling up - when number of users grow, your app security can become vulnerable. When users grow, security measures should take care of these users and their actions. You can keep transactions checking, bandwidth connections to avoid any problem.
  7. Troubleshooting - integrate troubleshooting within the app itself. Whether it is at user’s end or server end troubleshooting must be an easy job. You should have access to recreate the scenario and solve the problem before it becomes big.
  8. Think of next version - After launching app, start thinking of its next version. Update is the very much required thing and you must be ready for it. Measure your apps performance across versions to draw some conclusions.
It is necessary to critically monitor your app’s performance when it is successfully running. You must understand that your app should be enterprise ready if you wish to succeed.
