In a world where everything is online and digital; it has become more important than ever to make sure your data is secure as the exposure of data could be very damaging to both individuals and companies. In a recent infographic by Egress it has become apparent that 93% of data breaches between January and March 2014 were caused by human error.

This becomes even more alarming when you see there has been a huge rise in data beaches caused by human error in the Insurance Industry, Heath Sector, Financial Advisors, Lenders and Education, all areas that have huge amounts of personal data. This is why it is more important than ever to keep your data safe.

It is not just the data you are risking losing, you could also lose business, if the breach of data is made public. Recently huge fines have been put into place against those that neglect their duties on protecting data and the transfer of data. To avoid this; make sure everyone with access to sensitive data is aware of the risks they face and the penalties, as well as educating them with enough knowledge and giving them the right tools to stop this from happening.
