We know analytics gurus talk about the 4V of big data and we have 4A of analytics. You can do a match the following exercise on which V helps to arrive at which A. Don’t curse me if the no of Vs and As has changed at this moment coz we know by definition of Big data and Analytics it is possible. Well the purpose of story here is to draw some parallels and enjoy the fun.

Astronomy deals with astronomical sizes of data about what has happened since the existence started existing. Possibly we may still get some more data about what was it just after the Big Bang (a Parallel BIG you see).

Does Astronomical data have types ? Of course yes. In three ( or may be more - Don’t kill the messenger I am not an Astronomer) major ones (Radio, Infra-Red, Optical etc).

Is there some uncertainty aspect as well? I think so. May be we can take help from Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle for sub-atomic world and should be true for vast outer space as well. Because contemporary scientist of the bot the worlds believe that they are at the door steps of a unified theory.

Last but not least. We talk about speed of light defining the relativity theory and new findings of faster particles etc.

Now for final touches , a fish in a glass bowl can form it’s own laws of nature and will always be true from it’s perspective. The truth is still to be explored. Is analytics world dwelling like a fish in a glass bowl. May be we will get answers when it descends down the hype cycle.
