One thing that separates a very normal and ordinary looking video and a great, professional-looking one is the transitions between clips. While it is true that you should never over-do video transitions, having a few that are tastefully inserted at the right moments can really give your video a lot of extra appeal and make it stand out.

Most people mistakenly assume that stylish video transitions are difficult to perform, but that couldn't be further from the truth. With the intuitive and user-friendly Movavi Video Editor, you'll find that you can quite easily pick and choose from an array of different stylish transitions and add them with absolutely no hassle whatsoever.

To do so, just:

1. Add the videos that you want by clicking the Add Media Files button and selecting them.

2. Drag the videos to the Timeline in the order that you'd like them to appear. Alternatively you could use the Storyboard mode - it's up to you really.

3. Click the Fades button and browse through the numerous stylish effects that are available there. These are all the transitions that you can choose from.

4. Select the transition you like and drag it in between the video clips that you want to transition. By default the transitions are all 2 seconds each but if you want to change that you just need to click the Settings button below the list of fades.

5. Keep adding transitions and when you're done save the video using one of the many presets available.

As you can see, adding video transitions using the Movavi Video Editor is really exceedingly simple. But that is really just the tip of the iceberg and if you spend a bit more time using the software you'll realize that it has an entire host of features that you can take advantage of to improve your video even further.

For example, you could add captions or titles, insert a soundtrack, use filters to alter the look and feel of your video, and so much more. The best way to explore the options that are available however is to roll up your sleeves and start to fiddle with it for yourself. Because it is all so intuitive, even if you've never edited a video in the past you'll be able to quickly master each and every feature and use it to great effect.
