The internet is abundant with apps which cater to the photographers of all levels, be they amateurs which take photos to keep record of the important parts of their lives or professional photographers who earn money by selling photographs they make. With the advent of smart mobile platforms and more and more sophisticated cameras which we carry on our phones every day, it has become increasingly important that we have our photo editing apps with us at hand. In this article we will present you with a number of useful mobile apps which deserve that you give them a chance.

Instagram

One of the best known photography apps out there, Instagram is revolutionary for its simple approach to simple things. It is essentially a phone camera app which lets you snap a photo, apply some cool looking filters to it and then share the photo with your friends and followers on the social network Instagram created for this purpose or on the regular social networks such as Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr. Many people do not understand the appeal of Instagram before they start using it so give it a try - it doesn’t cost anything any you might like it too.

Camera+

This great little iOS app does exactly what it claims to do - it upgrades your stock camera by giving it extra functionality of more professional photographic equipment, such as zoom capability as well as useful and good looking photo effects. Two possible downsides of this neat little app are: it is exclusive to iOS which means only Apple phone and tablet users are able to use it and it is actually a paid app, although the symbolic price of $0.99 shouldn’t be a problem for anyone.

Viddy

Another iOS exclusive app (which is rumored to get its Android version soon) is Viddy, which makes sharing of your photos and videos a pleasure. It is famous for its great camera filters and some really advanced camera features. If the advanced camera features is something you are afraid of, do not worry - Viddy has a very active community of people who are ready to help you with any problem. On top of everything, Viddy is free, which means there is nothing standing in the way of you giving it a try. You won’t regret it!

GifBoom

Available for both major mobile platforms, GifBoom will let you effortlessly create gif images. So, if you are a fan of the popular moving images, go find this free app and give it a try!

Photoshop Express

It would be strange to finish the list of useful photo editing apps without mentioning the mobile version of the app which revolutionized the way we dealt with the photos. You guessed it - Adobe has a free Photoshop Express app prepared for everyone who needs standard Photoshop quality on the move. Great photo effects combined with the ability to easily share all that you created with your friends on social networks make Photoshop Express a sure choice for everyone interested in photography on the move.
