Microsoft Shares Windows 10 Fun Facts, as New OS Hits 75 Million Devices

Yusuf Mehdi, the Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President, shared on his Tweeter that it’s been almost 1 month since we’ve launched Windows 10 and today the new system is installed on 75 million computers already.

If we compare these results with those of Windows 8’s release in 2012, we’ll get to know that there were sold only 40 million licenses at that time. It required 6 months for the unpopular OS to get these 100 million licenses to be sold.

To be fully honest it’s worthy to note that Windows 10 has been released as free upgrade for anyone who used Windows 7 or Windows 8 OS. Engadget says that this fact also played a great role in boosting the number of downloaders. On the other hand, Windows 8 was and OS that people had to purchase separately in case they didn’t buy Windows 7 previously.

Besides celebrating the 75 million installs of Windows 10, Yusuf Mehdi also told about 90,000 different tablets and PCs that have upgraded to the new operating system. The updated Windows Store looks really better than the Windows 8 effort. Now users download 6 times more applications than they did it with Windows 10’s predecessor. The new operating system is being used in more than 190 countries. It’s popular among Xbox games’ lovers as well as among those who love playing Solitaire and Minecraft (there’ve been unlocked 10 million achievements).

But an essential part of Windows 10 became Cortana, which is Windows 10’s new virtual assistant. It has already told about 500,000 jokes since system’s launch.

Yes, that’s true. Windows 10 operating system was running on 14 million units within the first 24 hours after the final release. And that’s an obvious thing that these quick installations show how popular the new OS is. One of the most famous social media monitoring companies called Brandwatch made a research which showed that about 93% of users love Windows 10.

Taking into account all those 75 million units with Windows 10, the Microsoft’s vice president of marketing for Windows and Devices told about some fun facts about the new OS. You can see them below:

There are more than 75 million devices that have Windows 10 installed on them, and this number grows every single day

There are 192 countries where Windows 10 is used, which is practically every country in the world

There are more than 90,000 unique tablets and PCs that have upgraded to Windows 10.

Even those devices that were made in 2007 have also upgraded to the new OS

As from http://buyessaysonlinefast.net/ there were calculated more than 120 years of gameplay to be streamed from Xbox One to Windows 10 devices.

There were 10 million achievements unlocked: Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta and Microsoft Solitaire collection

After the launch in response to tell me a joke, virtual assistant Cortana told over 500,000 jokes.

Compared to Windows 8, Windows 10’s Store has had 6-times more app downloads
