Smartphones have become inseparable part of our lives. With the endless possibilities and a lot of capabilities such as: shopping, transactions, browsing, calling, gaming, chatting and many more things, these devices have made the life much easier. But unfortunately, the usual smartphones come with dumb battery. After continuous use of phone for 3 to 4 hours, the battery gets low and annoying low battery message starts popping on the screen.

In this article discussed are the easy and useful tips to boost Smartphone battery life.

Turn unnecessary features and hardware off

Several features of smartphones are not required 24 hours such as Bluetooth, GPS, LTE and Maps etc. and some features can’t be used with another one. All active widgets only drain the battery rapidly. Therefore, in order to save the battery life, turn all the unnecessary widgets off.

Don’t auto sync e-mails, social media and other websites

Majority of the Apps, especially the communication websites apps like Gmail, Yahoo, Facebook etc., refresh pages at regular intervals, say every five minutes. These apps get activated every 5 minutes even on standby mode and drain the battery. To deal with this situation, it is extremely necessary to turn off the auto sync of all your accounts. Instead, sync the applications manually whenever you need. This not only helps saving the battery life but also the internet data.

Stop background running of apps

There are several apps that run in the background and consume battery as well as RAM of the Smartphone. To stop such apps which are not in use at the moment, just go to App Settings and then into list of running apps. Remove the apps that are not required.

Change display settings

A big chunk of battery life is consumed by display settings like- high brightness and live wallpapers. Live wallpapers are actually nothing but a running app. So it is advisable to low down the screen brightness and turn the live wallpapers off. You should also keep your phone’s brightness as well as battery life on Auto Mode in order to get optimum results.

Network Connections

When you are not using the internet, turn off the data connection and Wi-Fi. In an area of poor network coverage a phone struggles very hard to get a strong signal and that result in low battery earlier than usual. Keeping the Smartphone in airplane mode is also suggested when phone is not in use.

Turn vibration mode off

Vibration mode is the biggest enemy of battery life. To maximize the battery of the phone disable vibration settings from message alerts, ringtone, notifications and key presses etc.

Use power saving modes

Many Smartphones, nowadays, provide power saving mode. Also there are several apps which claim to help in boosting battery power. If you have this feature by default or then keep it always enabled. Or pick a battery saving app from the app marketplace, carefully.

Manually manage GPS trackers

GPS trackers are another power consuming applications. Since users need to enable GPS, Wi-Fi and data connectivity together for monitoring the path and location, it sucks a big portion of battery life. Manually set the power level of these apps and change to high accuracy whenever extremely required.

Along with these tips disable the sensors, avoid lock unlock the phone frequently and control listening to the music in loud volume. For increasing efficiency of the Smartphone battery practice the above tips carefully. If you find this article helpful, do comment us.
