How to list files by file type in a folder using linux command line

Hi,

I am quite new to linux commands , as i know only basic level of commands.

I use ls -l for list the files. Now i want to find a folder with particular keyword.

if you any one know this command please help me.

    Try this to find inside a folder in linux

    ls -R |grep .doc$
