You can download some Pixlr brushes from here: http://all-free-download.com/free-vector/brushes-for-pixlr.html

Other than that, a good place to look for Pixlr brushes are Deviantart.com

Had never tried Pixlr before, will try it someday when I dont have my Photoshop.

    Hi Michelle,

Pixlr Editor uses its own brush formats, .pbr, hence it is not able to support any photoshop or GIMP brushes.

A brush in pixlr is just a regular image. You can define any image as a brush, so if you can open an image of the brush you can use that. Simply select around it in pixlr with the lasso tool by drawing around the image, click Edit > Define Brush

You can however use GIMP to open a GIMP brush or to paint a single dab with a Photoshop brush so you can see it, and if you can see it, you can copy it, then you could paste it into pixlr, then you could define the image as a brush. Then you could save the .pbr brushes you just created for future use.

By the way there are tons of brushes in pixlr you can download directly through the application. Simply click on the brush tool, hit the black arrow next to the brush size, in the brushes dialog hit the More button, download any brush set you want from their available collections.

The only thing is that when you close Pixlr, it will resets and you will have to do load the brush in again the next time you open the application. Therefore suggest you always save your .pbr brushes.

    Hope this helps!
