Anybody knew of any opensource video editing softwares that can produce high definition digital videos? Previously I have been using Adobe flash, and Windows default movie maker, which were the basic tools available. Now i need something that is good enough to showcase certain fast speed actions for my video.
Any recommendations anyone?

2) Avidemux
http://avidemux.sourceforge.net/download.html
Avidemux will allow functions such as filtering , simple cutting of video clips, as well as encoding tasks. One good thing is it also supports a slew of video file types such as AVI, MPEG files, MP4, ASF and more.
3) Blender

Blender is also pretty good and its also a 3D graphics video editing program. Some functions will include modeling, animation, rendering, post-production and real-time interactive 3D, as well as game creation.
Maybe you will want to share more specifications or functions of the video editing that you want? However, hope these 3 softwares will be good for you? :)
