    You cannot play any Blu-Ray disc on any Mac, unless you buy a drive and software.

    A drive without software is not enough. Software without a drive is not enough.

    Drive: Buffalo, Samsung, LG, ASUS and Sony;

    Blu-ray Player: Macgo Mac Blu-ray Player.

    Apple never support Blu-ray as Steve Jobs referred to Blu-ray as “a bag of hurt” due to the complex licensing surrounding the high-definition video format. So we need a other Blu-ray player software on Mac to play.http://www.macworld.com/article/1160977/blu_ray_movie_playback_comes_to_the_mac.html

    Download a Blu-ray Player and Buy a Blu-ray Drive. Try on this player-- http://goo.gl/kngWF Mac Blu-ray Player is really easy to operate. You can control almost everything on the main interface with your mouse. More settings can be done by right-click on the interface while playing.

    Apple does not make an Apple-branded BluRay player, but just about any USB BluRay Player will work on a Mac. It will plug and play. All drivers are already included with Mac OS/X.

    Apple's DVD Player software does not work with BluRay, so you will need a third party app to use as a player.

    Here is a good article from MacWorld which covers some good options.
