Asus's Zenfone 5 priced at Rs 9,999 not only redefines the sub-Rs 10,000 price segment but also poses threat to the much-loved Moto G that is available for Rs 12,500 onwards.

Here are a few points in which the Zenfone 5 is a better option that the Motorola if you are on the lookout for a mid-range smartphone.

Bigger Display

The Zenfone 5 features a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The Moto G on the other hand has a smaller 4.5-inch IPS display with the same resolution.

The Asus also trumps up by offering a dedicated reading mode for its display that can be enabled from settings.

More Storage

While both phones are available with inbuilt storage of 8 or 16GB, the Asus Zenfone 5 also offers expandable storage support.

Plus, it can support up to 64GB memory cards for expansion. The Moto G has no expansion slot.

Better Hardware

Powered by a 1.6Ghz dual core Intel Atom processor and 2GB RAM, the Zenfone has better hardware for multitasking and intensive apps/games compared to Moto G.
