Terms of Use of Online Information-Technology ("IT") Course

Sciente International Pte Ltd ("Sciente", "We", "Us", "Our") will, from time to time, offer online IT courses in a specific area of study or on a particular topic ("Online IT Courses"), via the MyTechLogy.com Website ("Website") which it owns. These terms of use (the "Terms of Use") shall apply to your use of the Online IT Courses.

Registration and privacy

In order to fully participate in all Website activities, you must register for a personal account ("Account") on the Website by providing an email address and a password for your Account. You agree not to divulge your password, or share access or access information to your Account with any third party for any reason. You also agree to that you will create, use, and access only one user account, and that you will not access the Website using multiple user accounts.

Online IT courses

We and the instructors of the Online IT Courses reserve the right to cancel, interrupt or reschedule any Online IT Course, or modify its content as well as the point value or weight of any assignment, examination or other evaluation of progress.

No Student-Institution relationship

You agree and acknowledge that nothing in the Online IT Course Terms of Use or otherwise with respect to your access or use of any Online IT Course or the Website:

(a) establishes any relationship between you and any university or other educational institution/training provider with which the Website may be affiliated;

(b) enrols or registers you in any university or other educational institution/training provider, or in any course offered by any university or other educational institution/training provider; or

(c) entitles you to access or use the resources of any university or other educational institution/training provider beyond the Online IT Courses provided by the Website.

Disclaimers and exclusion of liability

WHILE WE WILL USE REASONABLE ENDEAVOURS TO VERIFY THE ACCURACY OF ANY INFORMATION PLACED ON THE WEBSITE, WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED IN RELATION TO ITS ACCURACY. Online IT Courses are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any representation or endorsement and we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, in relation to the Online IT Courses and Website, including but not limited to, implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security, accuracy, conditions of completeness, or any implied warranty arising from course of dealing or usage or trade.

Whilst we endeavour to ensure the quality of the Online IT Courses, we make no warranties as to the quality of training provided by Participating Institutions or third party trainers, the quality of instruction provided by us or instructors of the Online IT Courses, any information provided by third parties on our Online IT Course website pages, or any information, recommendations or advice provided by any third parties making use of the Website generally. The Website is provided solely as a platform to facilitate the exchange of information by third parties, and we make no warranty whatsoever as to the truth, accuracy, or efficacy of information posted by third party users.

You understand and agree that we will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss or damage arising from your decision to engage third parties or follow the advice or instructions of any third parties by way of the Website.

Permission to Use Materials

All content or other materials available on the Website, including but not limited to code, images, text, layouts, arrangements, displays, illustrations, audio and video clips, HTML files and other content (collectively, the "material") are the property of Sciente International and/or its affiliates or licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and/or other proprietary intellectual property rights. In consideration for your agreement to these Terms of Use, Sciente International grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Website. You may download material from the Website only for your own personal, non-commercial use. You understand and agree that you will not otherwise copy, reproduce, retransmit, distribute, publish, commercially exploit or in any other manner transfer any material, nor will you modify or create derivatives works of the material.

User Material Submission

The Website may provide you with the ability to upload information, text, or materials, including but not limited to information, text or materials you post on the Website's public forums or discussion forums ("User Content"). With respect to User Content you submit or otherwise make available in connection with your use of the Website or its services, and subject to the Privacy Policy, you grant Sciente International and the Participating Institutions a fully transferable, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free and non-exclusive license to use, distribute, sublicense, reproduce, modify, adapt, publicly perform and publicly display such User Content.

To the extent that you provide User Content, you represent and warrant to us and the Participating Institutions that:

(a) you have all necessary rights or licenses to provide and use the relevant User Content and permit the Website and Participating Institutions to use such User Content as provided above; (b) such User Content is accurate and reasonably complete;

(c) as between you and the Website, you shall be responsible for the payment of any third party fees related to the provision and use of such User Content; and

(d) such User Content does not and will not infringe or misappropriate any third party rights (including without limitation privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, patent or any other proprietary rights) or constitute a fraudulent statement, misrepresentation or unfair business practice.

The Website may also provide you with ability to upload or send information to us regarding the Website or its services ("Feedback"). By submitting Feedback, you agree to grant the Website and Participating Institutions an irrevocable license to use, disclose, reproduce, distribute, sublicense, prepare derivative works of, publicly perform and publicly display any such submission.

Copyright Policy

If you believe in good faith that materials on the Website infringe your copyright, you (or your agent) may notify us requesting that the material be removed, or access to it blocked.

The notice must include the following information:

(a) a physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed;
(b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or if multiple copyrighted works located on the Website are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works);
(c) identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient to allow The Website to locate the material on the Site;
(d) the name, address, telephone number, and email address (if available) of the complaining party;

Termination Rights

You understand, acknowledge and agree that for the purpose of any Online IT Course your sole relationship with MyTechLogy, Sciente International and the Participating Institutions is as defined in these Terms of Use. For the avoidance of doubt, you do not have student status at any Participating Institutions through our Online IT Courses and you are not entitled to any grievance or other resolution process for student disputes at any Participating Institutions. You further agree that we have the right to cancel, delay, reschedule or alter the format of any Online IT Course at any time, and that neither we nor any of the Participating Institutions shall have any liability to you as regards any such disputes. If you no longer desire to take advantage of the Website or any of the services provided by the Website, you may terminate your Account by providing us with notice in writing.

Code of Conduct

By participating in Online IT Courses, you acknowledge, understand and agree that you will abide by the following code of conduct:

(a) You will register for only one user account.
(b) You will not plagiarise. Your answers to homework, quizzes and examinations will be your own work (except for assignments that explicitly permit collaboration).
(c) You will not facilitate plagiarism by others. You will not make solutions to homework, quizzes or examinations available to anyone else. This includes both solutions written by you as well as any official solutions provided by the Online IT Course instructors or staff.
(d) You will not engage in any other activities that dishonestly improve your results or alter the results of others.
