How exactly to use CAD software program: Drawings text and range dimensions
Once you create texts, their commands definitions won't automatically be shown in the Command List. To list them right click the mouse button over the list and enable the option Show Dimensions and Texts. It is possible to disable the graphic visualization of measurements and texts on Visualization Options and Show Measurements and Texts option.
Single Text
A text is a group of characters defined by right after parameters:

Thickness
Font type
Position: orientation of the written text in accordance with X axis.
Scale: height ( dimension ) of the written text. If this parameter will be zero, the text will undoubtedly be proven with the elevation / level defined by the general scale or yet according to the temporary scale of the active group.
Positioning: left, right, center or through 2 points. To define more than one line of texts, use Multiple Texts function, explained later.

Besides Normal/ Standard Texts functions there are others 2 types: Table Text or Question Text.

Table Text
When a Text is defined with a @TXTTABnnn variable, referred to as Desk Text variables also, the graphical result depends of the written text information assigned to the internal text message variable. Its articles is described by Tables or by features that operate this kind of variables. When this kind of text message is created the machine fills automagically the parameter text insight area with @TXTTAB000: information. The variables quantity range varies from 000 to 999. The content (if defined) of this variable is defined after the separation character : (colon). The @TXTTABnnn variables are essentially set by 3 ways:

Manually redefine the @TXTTABnnn content.
Define a @TXTTABnnn query function to fill the variable text information. In cases like this an individual should inform this content of these variables once the combined team is parametrically processed, explained below.
Set the written content of these forms of variables through exterior Tables that have @TXTTABnnn definitions.
Question Text function

Allows the definition of a text associated with a question. This command consists of an Issue divided by the : (colon) from the solution. The default text parameter edit area will be filled with ?: (question tag and colon) info. You have to indicate a query before the separating character. If desired, a default response can also be defined after the separating character.

This function is of high importance when sheets information needs to be added to the design.

Example:

Designer’s name?:
Which part is planned?:
What is the part code?:
The user can indicate default answers like:

Designer’s name?: Peter
Parts’s name?: Plug
Part’s code?: B01
Mirrored Texts

This type of text is only enabled on the Sketch environment. The written text could be mirrored to be utilized on further Extrusion (3D) features operations.
Multiple Texts

To generate texts on several line utilize the multiple texts functionality. It includes 3 tabs which you can use to edit, format also to create text tables.

Edit Tab
This tab works as an editor. You can copy or paste selected texts using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V.

To insert special symbols, click on the Symbols button option.
Format Tab
After finishing the edit operation, the text should be formatted. Select the desired text lines and define the type of text, level, positioning, etc . To verify, go through the Apply button.
Table Tab
To create a Table from the defined text inside the Edit area, tag the sequence of heroes for every column of the written text lines using Separators, like: comma, semicolon or Tab.

Table Length
To have different spacing for each column indicate a value in the first definition line of the Table (Format Tab) which controls the spacing for each column. This is done by indicating it with a format type personality (#N), where N is really a defined worth for the column in relation of its percent related to the full total Table length.

If the Table must have four columns and the spacing ideals for every column respectively are thought as: (#7), (#42), (#7) and (#44). The initial column could have a 7% spacing in relation to the total list length. The next one will have 42%, thus successively. It defines a percentage in relation to the total Table length or in relation to the total sum of the spacing defined for each column. Note, in this example, the sum of spacing values of every column is equal to 100, defining a percentage ratio.

You can also define values without a direct ratio in percentage. For example , to create a Desk with four columns with the first two columns having double along the rest of the two columns define the spacing as: (#2), (#2), (#1) and (#1). The operational program will calculate the proportion based on the total amount of the columns, the initial two will be 2/4 (50%) and the last two ¼ (25%) of the total length.

When the spacing between the columns is the same, we define a spacing ratio (#n) only for the first column and the remaining ones will follow the same pattern.

Example:

In the Edit Tab insert the text lines
In the Format Tab is inserted a 180 value for the length of the Table and the Table page is configured as shown below.
Dimensioning
When you create dimensions, their commands definitions will not automatically be shown in the Command List. To listing them, best click on the mouse button on the list and enable the choice Show Texts and Measurements .
Visualization Dimensions based on the DIN or ANSI Criteria
The dimensions will be visualized according to the defined standard. On the DIN Standard texts are always demonstrated aligned with a dimension collection and on ANSI Standard texts are seen horizontally, irrespective their inclination in the dimension series.
Individual Construction of a Dimension Properties
Access the average person configuration container of the dimension in two methods:

Directly: simply by typing Ctrl through the dimension construction ( just before defining its position)
Indirectly: by double clicking on the dimension on the display are
It is possible to define 0 to 5 decimal fraction digits to be viewed in the Dimension value. The shown value is always to the last digit round.

When an Angular Dimension is established the available unities options are:

Decimal
GMS (degrees, a few minutes and seconds)
Radians

Modifying Dimension Text
The text dimension could be among the followings forms:

Value: (default) gifts the numerical worth of the calculated measurement

Text: indicate a consumer defined text

Variable: Indicate an adjustable name linked to the parametric value of the dimensioned measurement. Utilizing the +-Visualize Dimension Variable command, modification the visualization between the display of the numerical value of the dimension or display the variable/expression name, here defined. If the variable value is not the same as the calculated dimension value, the system will display a message Variable Worth: XXX, incoherent with the calculated worth: DDD.

Prefix; Suffix: a prefix and/or a suffix could be put into the dimension worth or text. To include a new prefix indicates it inside the edit area simply. The same method works when incorporating a suffix, but we ought to begin it with the ; (semi colon) character. This character is also used to separate a suffix from a prefix when they are used together. For instance, to indicate a prefix text Radius= and a suffix text (Nominal) in a dimension, define: Radius =; (Nominal). If the worthiness is 20 the effect will be: Radius = 20 (Nominal)

Scale: modifies the level of the dimensioned value
Text Separation in 2 Lines
To force another line of text message it must be separated by indicating a new || (double slash) character.

To produce a dimension with a suffix and prefix in the second line, separate them with a ; (semi colon) and split the prefix and the suffix using the ; || (semi colon followed by double slash).
Types of Dimensioning
Basically, there are three ways of dimensioning: Line, Points and Profile Dimension. To create a dimension select the ranges to become dimensioned and the calls the Dimension or opens the Collection Dimension function and then select the desired entities ( collection or points). The Profile Dimension is done using the command: Operate Profile.

If a lot more than two points or outlines are indicated, a Multiple Dimensions kind is established. In this case, first activate the required dimension and define the series or points insight elements then.

Lines Dimensions Types
Simple Line Dimension
The default is parallel dimension. Type X Important for Horizontal, Y Important for Vertical and P Important to create a dimension according to the two points positions.
Two Lines Dimension
If the lines are not parallel, an angular dimension will be indicated.
The angular dimension types can be configured by typing the F5 Key once the function is active.
Arc and Circle Dimension
Whenever a Circle or an Arc is determined there are many options of dimensioning. They are proven in the Properties Container activated by the F5 Key.
Two Circles Dimension
According to the place of the mouse through the dimensioning the end result is often as follows:
Multiple Lines Dimension
When a lot more than two lines are identified or selected, a number of interconnected dimensions are manufactured, which represent a couple of dimensions named Multiple Dimensions. This type of dimension only operates 2D or Sketch geometric elements.

The Option Box can be activated via the F5 Key.
Aligned

The dimension will be constructed in one line according to the defined angle.
Spaced
The dimension will be individually constructed with a distance according the text defined height (text scale) and a value specified in the General Dimension Configuration.
Sectioned
Partitioned
Accumulative
As default, the first indicated element ( series or point) would be the origin reference (Zero position). Sun and rain identification feeling defines the dimensions development order.
Aligned
Top
You can define a fresh reference point or line for the Zero position. Below, the third stage is the Zero stage reference.
If the written text scale is increased the dimension will undoubtedly be automatically be recalculated in order to avoid collision.
The positioning of the dimensions can also be individually changed. For this, double click on the set of dimensions and use the Space Bar to position the dimension as desired.
