How to clear a stuck voicemail notification on android

Issue

Voicemail indicator is stuck on the Android phone, while no messages are present in the voicemail. Phone shows new voicemail even though there aren’t any. New voicemail icon wont go away.

Solution

• The easiest solution is to leave yourself a new voicemail. Then access your voicemail box and delete the message you left, and it will remove the notification.

If that does not work, perform the following steps depending on your device:

Settings > Apps > All > Phone > select Clear Data under the storage section

• Clear a stuck voicemail notification on HTC

Settings > Apps > All (tap on Downloaded to select All) > Phone > select Clear Data under the storage section

• Clear a stuck voicemail notification on Samsung

Settings > More (4th tab on top) > Application Manager > All > Phone > select Clear Data under the storage section

• Clear a stuck voicemail notification on LG

Settings > General (4th tab on top) > Apps > Phone > select Clear Data under the storage section

Step 1. Run Syncios Data Transfer and Connect Your Android to PC.

Step 2. Select messages to backup.

The following screen will allow you to select which items you would like to back up onto your computer. On the right side of the pane, you will also have the option to change or choose the location of the backup data. Select the [...] button that appears beneath the computer icon and select the location where you would like all data to be saved. After making sure your data are chosen, click Start Copy button in the middle bottom. During this time, make sure your phone is not disconnected from the computer.
