MDaemon
MDaemon is an email and shareware server, developed by Alt-N Technologies. A Windows supportive application, MDaemon supports spam filtering, sharing groupware data, WorldClient (a browser based email application), ActiveSync, synchronization with Outlook via MDaemon connector for Outlook. All the user accounts (using POP, IMAP and SMTP protocols) are well supported by MDaemon.

MDaemon files are saved in .msg format which is a plain text file and stored at :

(Note : example.com is the domain name and may vary. All the user account’s data resides inside this domain.)
MS Outlook
Outlook is an Office Manager, which supports all editions of Windows. A Microsoft product, it comes included within MS Office package. It includes emails, contacts, meeting and schedule calendar, journal, tasks, notes etc. Outlook, basically is an independent application, but can also work in combination with MS Exchange, SharePoint Server.
