When talking about transferring music or mp3 to iPhone, I guess most of you would like to use iTunes to transfer music backup to your iPhone. However, there are some downsides on moving files from iTunes to iPhone device. If you move the synced music/mp3 to your iPhone, the existing music/mp3 files on the phone will be replaced by the synced ones. Therefore, if you really want to import music/mp3 from iTunes to your iPhone, you’d better make a backup for your existing music/mp3 first. I’ll show how to transfer music/mp3 from iTunes to iPhone as below.
Step1. Copy songs from computer to iTunes
Download the latest iTunes version to your PC, then open it and click the "File" on the top left corner of the interface; next, choose "Add File to Library" (add music files to iTunes one by one) or "Add Folder to Library"(add all song files in a folder to iTunes at one time) .
Step2. Connect your iPhone to the Computer via USB cable
When the iPhone is successfully connected with PC, the iPhone icon will show up on the top left bar.
Step3. Transfer music to iPhone
Click the iPhone icon and choose "Music in the setting menu. Then select "Sync Music" so that you can choose either "Entire music library" or "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres".

Assuming that you choose "Entire music library" and click "Apply" in the bottom right corner, then all songs in iTunes music library will be moved to your iPhone.

If you prefer to sync some of songs in iTunes music library to iPhone, please choose "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres" which list all songs for you. After selecting the songs you love, click "Apply" and wait for the synchronization to complete.
Conclusion
Transfer music from to iPhone via iTunes would be risking of losing the exited music files on the destination iPhone, so I would kindly suggest you using a phone to phone transfer tool to get them moved successfully without losing the original music data.
