You might think that deleting your call history will prevent others seeing the calls that you made or received but the fact is not as you imagined. Anyone who knows how to tinker with an Android phone is able to expose those calls that you want to keep in secret. This sounds scary but this is not a joke. Deleting the call history by clicking the Delete command simply takes information behind a closed door and that door can be forced to open by someone skilled in picking locks or strong enough to break the barrier.
Most mobile phone users delete the cal log by using the most common way as below (Take LG phone as an example)

Clearing the Call log all at once

  1. Touch the Phone Key (in the Quick Keys bar), then the Call log tab at the top of the screen.
  2. Touch the Menu Key.
  3. Touch the Clear all> OK .

Selectively clearing the Call log

  1. Touch the Phone Key (in the Quick Keys bar), then the Call log tab at the top of the screen.
  2. Touch the Menu Key .
  3. Touch the Clear and then checkmark the call entries you want to delete.
  4. Touch Delete > OK.

Note

You can also selectively delete by touching and holding a Call log entry, then touch Remove from Call log > OK.

However, you can’t permanently delete call log in this normal way, they are easy to be recovered by using Android files recovery program. Aiming to wipe phone data for good, a handful of tools have been designed to erase data like call log forever. There are some tools in the market claimed to be capable of riding them out of phone like android wiper or other similar software, you may give it a shot.

Performing factory reset should be your last way to delete your data, it will thoroughly erase all the phone data, please think twice.
