  1. First, Launch the Outlook Express or Windows Live Mail application. Skip the part where it asks to create or set up an account.

  2. Next, go to the File>>Import>>Other Address Book.

  12. Next, uncheck the Mail import option and click on the Next button. This will select to migrate contacts from LDIF to Outlook.

  13. From the Import Address section, select the appropriate option for dealing with duplicates and click the Next button.

  14. Now, an Import Summary will appear. Click on the OK button to completely import LDIF contacts to Outlook.


Limitations of Using Manual Process
  • Bulk Conversion not Possible: This process can only move one LDIF file at a time. To import multiple .ldif files to a single Outlook mailbox is not possible using the manual method.
  • Irrelevant: The manual procedure is not a cup of tea for non-technical users. Hence, they find better online solutions to directly import LDIF file to Outlook 2010.

Method 2: Using an Automated Solution
