The Big Tech Innovations Started From The Small Plagiarism

Well, the plagiarism isn't always as bad as it seems. The big companies like Google, Nexus, Apple or others have plagiarized a lot of minutiae from each other to let the innovation process start. In this article, we are going to tell you about some loud cases and amazing examples of plagiarism leading to fantastic results.

The Apple II Computer

In 1970-1980, the microcircuits for the computers became cheaper and anyone could make a computer at home without any problems. Young Steve Wozniak was one of the geeks who loved to make the computers from scratch. Thus, after the creation of his first machine, Steve invented an architecture of the mediocre computer for the mass-selling. The computer constructed by Wozniak was appropriate for everyone, but it was made from the details available in stores. Thus, the company just made the most boring and unlikeable part of work for users and started the brand-new era of innovations. This is the same as if the IKEA sell the ready-made furniture within the store. Well, nothing revolutionary, but people liked it.

The Tablet PC

In 2001 the Microsoft company have made not even a prototype, but the ready-made commercial product. It was a little slim PC-monoblock with the touchpad and under the control of Windows OC. Despite the really smart advertising, the first Tablet PC in history was not liked by people. That's because it hadn't a mouse and the keyboard, the screen lacked the trackpad function and the stylus was way too expensive.

Then, after 9 years, Apple will greet the world with an iPad. Was it an iPhone suddenly grew up, or the colleagues' concept in the new design - nobody knows. But an Apple company thought about the software that was convenient enough to be used on Tablet PC. And they have made everything better than the Gates' people do.

Siri, the voice helper

And again, the Microsoft was far ahead of anybody else. The interface of MiPad was ready-made in 2001. But this was just a scientific research, the Microsoft hasn't planned to convert this into a product. That's why when in 2011 an Apple presented Siri as a global innovation, anyone trusted this information. And the specialists were quiet. Apple in profit again.

The iPod

Steve Jobs hasn't invented a Media Player, but he just made some corrections into an existing model of the MP3 player named Rio PMP300. IPod ran out with the 5 GB of an operative memory, while the Rio PMP300 had only 32 MB. Also, the synchronization process went much easier and faster, than in the Rio PMP300 device. Design and conception of the iPod was the thing attracting the attention of users.

The Conception of Smartphone

Well, the very first smartphone does not belong to Apple, nobody doubts it. But most people think that the idea of combining the telephone with an email box and internet controlling belongs to the Blackberry team. Well, sounds good, but the very first smartphone is an IBM Simon launched in 1994. This telephone combined the management of the email, connection to the computer and the possibility to take a fax. This was an innovation.

PocketBook

Now we know PocketBook as a trademark, but earlier, in 1998 the RocketBook device came out. And failed because of two reasons. First of all, the reading stopped to be the favorite hobby of mankind. And the second reason is the tiny-little amount of memory, enough for 10 books. Later, in 2007, Amazon Kindle conquered the market. It was very well-made, the special display and 250 MB of memory were attracting for thousands of users. Even now an Amazon Kindle book is the standard of electronic books.

As far as you can see, the plagiarism in tech is moving the innovations forward. But if you are a writer in Google or Amazon, better use free plagiarism checker online to make your materials unique. Writing is the field where the plagiarism leads to the inconvenient situations, not the innovations.
