It allows users to access data from anywhere at any time and it has some additional features such as file sharing, working with mobile phones, cloud services etc. But, still, there are some users who want to migrate Office 365 mailboxes to PST. Migrate Office 365 Mailboxes to PST using eDiscovery PST Export Tool

By following these steps, a user can easily understand how to configure the In-Place-Hold and how to search for mailbox items and transfer them to PST files:

First, Log in Office 365 and go to the Exchange admin center, then click on compliance management option. Now, under the In-Place eDiscovery & Hold, click on the New (+) button.
Note: If your account is not a member of Discovery Management Role group, then you have to add this role to your user account. For adding, select permission and double-click on the Discovery Management under the Admin roles. Now, add your account to this group by clicking on ‘+’ icon under the Members option.

Now, enter a name & description in the In-Place eDiscovery & hold window and click on Next button.
After that, under Mailboxes, choose required options and click on Next button.
