The Windows Server backup Tool is a free software that helps in creating the Exchange Server database file backup manually. So, if you are computer has Windows Server backup tool then store the EDB files by following steps

Steps to Backup Data with Exchange Server Backup Tool

  • Start the Windows Server Backup and Move to database
  • Right click on database and select 'Backup Once'
  • Select backup type and in configuration settings select custom options to backup
  • Add the files, folders and select drive to backup
  • Click on Advanced Settings and select VSS Settings
  • Click on VSS Full backup
  • Specify the destination type where backup is saved and click Next
  • Check details on confirmation screen and hit the backup button
  • The process for backup will be displayed on screen.
  • Once the files are backed up click on close button and check the folder where .bak file are stored.

So this is the free and easy method to backup files in Exchange Server Database.
