ALT attributes and image names:

This is one of those points that often go unnoticed, and that can make a big difference. It depends a lot on search intent, but ranking your images in the top results can bring you a lot of traffic.

In addition, they help Google spiders to understand your content and to know its structure. To do this, make sure to save the images and write their ALT attributes with the keywords you want to rank for. To make the concept clearer, we are going to make a practical assumption.

If I had to add an image in this section, it would be:
Image name: "ALT attributes and image name."
ALT attribute: "ALT attributes and name of images."

When I started building web pages, I did not take this point into account. However, by changing the names and the ALT attributes, you will see a great increase in the visibility of the web and, with it, the traffic.

Use short and meaningful URLs

If users cannot read or understand a URL, search engines will also have trouble understanding it.

A good URL should look like this: https://www.compralobueno.com/drones/

It is extremely easy to understand for both users and search engines. So, the most important keyword should appear and for which you want to rank.

Stay away from page URLs like the following: https://www.xataka.com/article/272324

Remember, search engines will crawl search users. Even at this stage in search development, including RankBrain, search spiders are still programs, not humans. It would be best if you guided them on the right path.

If we adopt a new URL structure, we can follow Brian Dean's structure pattern. It ensures that the length of any URL should not exceed 2-4 words. This makes the URL easy to remember, search, and type.

Update old pages and posts

When you are looking for information on Google, you like to find content that is as up-to-date as possible. For this reason, it is essential to keep your articles updated if you want to appear in the first positions. This term is known in marketing as "freshness."

It depends a lot on the search intention since static information (the one that does not change) and dynamic information (the one that changes over time). That is if you have made a post about what a processor is or what this or that means, you probably won't have to update the content again for a long time.

However, you should update your articles when you deal with topics that change over time, such as: "mini drones" or "the songs most listened to in X year."

The update frequency should be marked according to the competition and the type of niche. My recommendation is that you update your posts when more than eight months have passed since its publication and when it is not among the top 5 positions in Google.

Link to other websites with relevant content

Linking to other blogs is essential for growth. For most people, linking to authoritative pages with relevant content is not good because it will cause people to leave your site and even lose flow. However, the opposite is true.

According to Moz founder Rand Fishkin, off-site linking can send trackable traffic, making the site a more valuable and scalable resource.

If you've been reading my blog, you may have noticed that I tend to link to other sites outside of my site. Whenever I write an article, I will cite other trusted websites.

Eliminate anything that slows downloading time

How fast a page load is a factor that has been gaining significant importance in recent years.

If you have been using the internet for a long time, I think you will also remember extremely long loading times. In fact, I just recently had to wait almost five minutes for a news website to fully load.

This has never been a good practice, but today it is the worst thing you can do on the market. A slow website will prevent people from buying your product or recommending your content.

Strange Loop statistics show that a 1-second timeout can cause the permanent loss of 7% of users on the site. If your page takes more than 10 seconds, you can lose more than 50% of the traffic.

According to another internal Google study, when the page loads too slowly, the visitor's time on the site drops dramatically. On the other hand, fast-loading pages can reduce operating costs and improve the user experience, among other benefits.
