Joomla has become one of the most preferable CMSs among website owners across the globe. Choosing Joomla CMS allows you to manage your site in a seamless manner. In addition to maintaining your website’s visual appearance, Joomla even renders higher usability to your visitors. If you’re one of those online marketers who still own a PSD website, it’s time for you to upgrade to Joomla. You can either choose to design your site from scratch using the Joomla template or opt for PSD to Joomla theme conversion. In this article, I’ll be covering a detailed analysis of different aspects that distinguish PSD to Joomla conversion from using a free-to-download Joomla CMS template.

Using an open source Joomla Template

Open source availability of Joomla template makes it the first choice of web developers looking for developing Joomla powered websites. Although Joomla templates can be installed and used free of cost, there’s a lot that they’re deficient in. With an open sourced Joomla template, it’s hard for the web designers to make the designs available for applications placed on different web pages. Using a Joomla template makes the site heavy to load and run. Moreover, in order to explore Joomla features, you need to invest a good amount of time in learning about Joomla CMS. There are Joomla plugins that work with some particular scripts only, making it difficult for your website to reach a wider audience.

And, now what makes PSD to Joomla Theme conversion a wiser choice?

Unlike using a Joomla template, converting PSD to Joomla can allow you to avail the following benefits:

  1. Faster Website load time

Switching from PSD to Joomla makes your web pages light, thereby decreasing the overall website load time. With faster loading website, you get a chance to keep your visitors engaged in reading the information that’s been posted about your products and services.

  1. Better Search engine rankings

PSD to Joomla theme conversion involves clean coding which adds to the search engine friendliness of your website. SEO semantic coding makes sure each and every element placed on your website is defined as per the current SEO standards. Hence, search engines find it easy to crawl your website, thereby affirming a higher ranking on all major search engine results pages.

  1. Flexibility to choose from a wide range of tailor-made modules

PSD to Joomla conversion makes way for selecting modules that suit the functionalities you want to incorporate into your existing website. You can choose from a wide range of modules that have been developed to suit varying business requirements.

  1. Ability to add an individuality into the website

Unlike choosing a ready-to-use Joomla template, converting PSD site to Joomla allows you to add a tint of uniqueness into your website. You can customize the look and feel of your site as per your business goal. This can be done by installing third-party plugins.

Summary

Hey there, I’m sure after having read everything about the benefits of converting PSD to Joomla, you too would’ve definitely made up your mind about choosing theme conversion for your website. So, what’s keeping you waiting? Go ahead and get your plain PSD site converted into the very user-friendly yet trendy Joomla portal.

Yeah, really it’s a tough decision to choose between these two things, as both of them looks similar but are quite different approaches. However, I am in favour of using Joomla templates instead of converting PSD to joomla. As there are wide varieties of powerful Joomla templates are available, I would suggest you to visit http://nulledwp.com/category/joomla-templates/ may be it would change your mind.

For a range of customisation options i think PSD to joomla template will win hands down! PSD to Joomla will still have superior functionality. tough call really.
