Android emulator built from source unable to start?

I downloaded the Android source and built version 2.3.7 (for emulator). The built finished with no errors so i tried to type "emulator" command to start it.
It was just stuck at a black screen and not boot up. I have retried starting it and reinstall it but it still does not start to boot up.
Anybody can help?

I have faced the same problem before. And here's how i solved it, i am not sure if its the same case for you, so maybe you will like to try?
For me, I have installed the android sdk and export the sdk tools dir to the PATH:
export PATH=$PATH:$AndroidSDKRootDir/tools
So one thing you can do is to remove the above line from your env.
Then run this: .
build/envsetup.sh lunch full-eng emulator
Hopefully your problem can be fixed (:
