The world as we know it now is not the same world we resided in a few years back. The desire to consume data has been the underlining factor behind the way our thought processes have evolved over time. The internet is the creation of society and the information that resides on the Internet is consumed by the very public that updates the information.

WordPress as a Website Platform

The social interaction on the web means that the Internet is the hub for everything that we do so it is no surprise that businesses and web enthusiasts have been turning to web. Websites are being built in a number of forms but a popular theme is using off the shelf content management systems to build a fully functional website.

Websites are definitely the platform that can be used for individuals and businesses to convey messages to their potential clients and readers. So bearing this in mind it is crucial to have a stable website which gives the option to expand in an effective manner.

The most obvious website platform to use would be WordPress for the reason that it is incredibly easy to implement whilst also being adaptable enough to cater for any given purpose. The power behind WordPress is down to the fact that it is a community built platform which leads to a lot of support being on hand for any given purpose.

WordPress ECommerce

WordPress is fairly easy to set up but after you choose an aesthetic looking design it is important to look at the functionalities that your website has on offer. A website needs to have all the fundamentals in place to ensure that a website can target the international markets.

To facilitate sales all websites need a platform to conduct their sales on. One such plugin that can be used to make sales online an easier possibility is WooCommerce. It is a fully customisable shopping cart plugin that allows full flexibility for a user. Using WordPress as a platform doing International trade is that much easier to achieve.

Translation Plugins

There are two main plugins which accommodate serving the Multilanguage industry the best, WPML and QTranslate. WPML is a fully integrated translation solution which allows a WordPress user to translate their website into another language of their choice. It allows the user to manage the translation process without having the prerequisite of knowing PHP or WordPress whilst also allowing the more advanced users to use the integrated features to custom manage the multilingual website.

The other tool to use is qTranslate. This plugin allows users to translate content of a website with considerable ease, actually as little as two clicks. It also allows the user to select the manner in which URL’s are displayed which can help the visual and SEO aspect for a multilingual website. It also has an add on feature in which integration is allowed with other valuable products such as SEO Yoast which helps a user manage the translation of title tags and description tags easily.

Both the tools have their advantages and disadvantages; with WPML you get a bit more support, albeit paid support whereas with qTranslate a user is given the option to use machine translations or human powered translations.

Really it is a personal opinion but both seem to be valid option for anyone looking for a language translator. Having a business or website abroad however you still need to think of the fact of what will happen when comments or contact forms are filled out from a foreign country. For this the most feasible option would be to hire a professional linguistic to offer translation services, as no plugin deals with inbound translation requests.

This however can be the base where you use a bit of manual intervention to oversee that people are served in an appropriate manner to serve your Multilanguage users well.
