How New Technology Brought Salesforce Into Existence - Image 1

Technology is making our lives easier with every passing minute. Every other day we hear about a new technological development. Some of these technological gadgets are good for only some time but others can permanently change our lives. While individuals get to enjoy various technological devices, businesses benefit from them too. CRM has always been a big challenge for businesses. CRM stands for customer relationship management software. This software is meant to handle a lot for businesses than just basic customer information. Furthermore, modern CRMs are deployed across all departments in a company and centralize the use of data within that company.

As time passes the requirements of a business from its CRM also change. New features have to be added and as platforms on which these platforms run start to get updated, the CRMs need to be updated too. This became a constant point of worry for businesses. In addition to that, businesses with their departments spread in different regions always had problems in updating information across all departments including the remote ones. That’s when Salesforce was created. A cloud CRM or CRM cloud that allows businesses to manage their customer relationships in the cloud and without the need of installing the CRM in their computers.

With Salesforce it was made possible for businesses to reduce their costs on CRM development and maintenance - which literally translates to millions of dollars and even more in the long run. With Salesforce, whatever needs to be updated is updated at the service provider’s end. Whenever you login to your salesforce CRM as a user you get to enjoy the benefits of the most updated version of the software. Furthermore, implementing salesforce is possible across virtually all departments that exist in a company. It’s fast, reliable, secure and accessible.

All you need to access Salesforce is internet connection. Salesforce continued to expand to other technological units as well. Since most businesses now look for mobile solutions, Salesforce became a mobile solution. Businesses can login to their Salesforce CRMs from any mobile devices with internet access. No matter in which corner of the world the person is who’s modifying something on Salesforce, the information will be updated for everyone in the cloud. Keeping in view the needs of the modern world Salesforce came with a complete set of tools that helped it become a global software for business of all colors and forms.

Salesforce includes several other modules that have specific jobs. There is salesforce, force.com, work.com, desk.com, data.com, do.com etc. It is clear from the names what these particular categories on the software are meant for. Force.com lets developers develop applications to make their salesforce solution according to their needs and add further functionalities to the CRM. Since it is a cloud platform it offers a lot of services in the cloud to its users. For example, there is AppExchange, which is a marketplace that allows the users of Salesforce to download and integrate either free applications or pay for them on monthly or yearly basis. These are third party applications.
