Tech to Make Life Safer

The world we live in has changed so much over the last few decades. Technology has boomed and grown at an exponential rate. Our systems, roads, vehicles, buildings, etc. have all become so advanced. We rely heavily upon technical tools and programs. Ultimately, technology now provides largely for our welfare, safety, and daily living. What, however, are some of our most essential technologies to make our lives safer?

Military Tech

I think it goes without saying that a strong military plays a huge role in the safety of that nation. The U.S. has some of the most technologically advanced military weapons and tools in the world. This tech helps spot, analyze, and protect against possible threats worldwide. We have the F-22's and the new F-35 JSF's that protect our airspace. We have satellites that monitor the movements of our enemies and provide for communications around the world.

Traffic Tech

A long time ago there used to be a traffic cop who would direct traffic at busier intersections. Now we have automated traffic lights that keep our road systems running smoothly. We have technical factories that manufacture safety items like traffic delineators used by road construction workers to better protect themselves and drivers. We have vehicles with computer systems that increase safety through various warnings and automations such as when you are too close to another vehicle. Subaru, as an example, offers what is called EyeSight where there are two cameras facing forward that will automatically slow or stop the vehicle should the car ahead slow or stop suddenly.

Personal Tech

There are very few people who don't own a cell phone in this day and age. This gives us instant access to police or officials should help be needed. With Smartphones and Tablets we are able to access information of all kinds through the internet. Medical technology has increased to something unbelievable and remarkable. More people are living longer today than ever before due to the technical advances in the medical field.
