As this role is essential to the organization, it is vital you come with a track record of delivery and proven experience. Among the many responsibilities some are listed below:

Provide recommendations to the VP/SVP through analysis and data mining for the development of short and long term strategic objectives and goals in order to achieve the vision and mission.
Liaise with and follow up with respective department heads ("HOD") to ensure on the understanding and implementation of strategic and operational objectives.
Periodically monitor the performance of the Company against the approved strategic objectives and goals.
Participate (with the VP/SVP) to develop functional strategies to improve performance and processes to HODs and General Managers ("GM").
Participate in proposed investment proposals/partnership opportunities from initiation/origination, financial evaluation, research and due diligence, negotiation, through to BOD approval and deal execution including preparation of financial models, EXCO and Board papers, management reports and presentations.
Perform and present industry and market research to enable a smoother decision making process for the VP/SVP.
Participate in other functions of the department including corporate finance and corporate exercises including reorganisation and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, listing and/or fund raising exercises as required.
Managing direct reports to ensure efficient and effective delivery of results.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the growth of the company and must possess the below requirements:

Business/ Finance/ Commerce (Marketing background can be considered if backed up with proven financial and commercial experience, knowledge and business acumen).
Post graduate qualifications or MBA would be an advantage, but not necessary.
5-7 years working experience from either an investment, portfolio management, research, corporate finance, corporate strategy OR management consulting background; coverage of the leisure, theme park, or hotel industry would be a very strong advantage.
Marketing or Business Development background from the relevant industries with an understanding of business and financial issues would also be considered.
Strong financial and analytical mindset -ability to construct, navigate and understand a financial model for a business proposition.
Excellent financial modelling skills is a must with experience in Excel - an ability to understand and construct a project and equity financial model utilising DCF and PE multiple techniques, with an understanding of debt components, cash flows, investment returns and IRR.
Ability to draft comprehensive and concise reports, memos and investment proposals and detailed presentations using Word and Powerpoint. Excellent grammar in English is a must.
Analytical, diligent and strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task, work independently and with minimal supervision towards tight deadlines and schedules.
Excellent communication skills and an effective communicator.
Ability to work as part of a team within the unit and across internal department and external parties/stakeholders.
Ability to manage direct reports.
