Strategizing and planning for the sales team – including the development of operational strategies based on financial budgets
Achieving profit & revenue targets - Ensuring team members meet their individual KPIs
Determine a strategy for success and instil the tools and training needed in the department to achieve that success.
Ability to work under pressure on a daily basis and react to difficult situations ensuring shipments are delivered as per plan
Conduct daily and weekly sales and sales training meetings.
Coach both new and experienced sales reps on best practices for improving performance
Forecast goals and objectives for sales, gross, and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis
At least 10 - 15 years of experience in Logistics & Supply Chain (Freight Forwarding)
Minimum Diploma/Degree in relevant discipline
Must have good problem solving and negotiation skills.
Good teamwork skills and strong self-motivation.
Good time management skills are essential, especially the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Must be familiar with computer software programs eg Word, Excel, etc.
