We are looking for an experienced Assistant IT Manager to join our team in Jeddah, KSA.nbsp
He/She should be able to fulfill the following duties and responsibilities:
1.2nbspEnsures that all software run with no output errors, no response time problems and according to defined specifications
1.3nbspSolves technical problems as reported by the users
1.4nbspMaintains all I.T. checklists and monitors system performance for all I.T. related platforms in the assigned business unit(s)
1.5nbspUpdates the I.T. helpdesk system, keeps an accurate record of all helpdesk tickets and is accountable for all support services provided to users
1.6nbspAssigns support tickets to I.T. personnel as appropriate
1.7nbspKeeps accurate inventory records of all I.T. related hardware, software and documents controlled by the hotel
1.8nbspEnsures that all software license originals, media and manuals are kept in a safe place at all times, retrieved for reference purposes alone and only with proper records
1.9nbspAdvises department heads on suitable computer equipment to be included in the property budget cycle
1.10nbspCarries out software and hardware installations as instructed by the line manager
1.11nbspWorks closely with the business owners of all hotel applications and assists in providing solutions to technical challenges
1.12nbspMeets regularly with hotel department heads in a brainstorming fashion, with the aim to improve internal processes by means of information technology.
1.13nbspGives recommendations to the line manager when end user deficiencies with the use of assigned computers and software applications are detected
1.14nbspContacts external service providers with whom the hotel has a support contract to request assistance when issues cannot be resolved using internal resources / tools
1.15nbspSupervises the activities of outside maintenance personnel as instructed by the line manager
1.16nbspRecommends new products and services to the line manager
1.17nbspFollows company policies and standard operating procedures related to the department and job function
1.18nbspProduces a monthly activity report the designated line manager, following an agreed document standard format
1.19nbspIdentifies opportunities for new policies and standard operating procedures and formulates draft documents for the line manager
1.20nbspDocuments all work and communicates with the line manager at all times
1.21nbspTrains guest facing colleagues to solve minor problems with guests accessing the Internet. Trains all computer users to fully understand how to operate their assigned computer equipment. This does not include hotel specific business software applications
1.22nbspTrains I.T. personnel who join the department and ensures a complete skill transfer to maintain continuity
1.23nbspFocuses on business up-time and practices, enhances and documents improved disaster recovery routines on a regular basis
1.24nbspMaintains and safeguards detailed records of all user forms that are in circulation to access company I.T. assets and services
1.25nbspKeeps aware of trends and technical information in the computer technology field through self-training, trade literature, and by means of visiting trade shows and industry colleagues
1.26nbspSuggests areas of improvement and new initiatives to the line manager, with the focus on enhancing guest services, generating revenues, reducing costs, removing security risks and developing colleagues experience with I.T.
1.27nbspEnsures that proper on-site & off-site backups are kept for all applications and user data used in the hotel. Is fully accountable for ensuring the backup data is usable in a recovery situation
1.16nbspCarries a company provided smartphone with email access for emergency support after office hours / weekends / public holidays
1.17nbspProvides 24 / 7 emergency support for I.T. related issues and escalates to senior managers as and when required
1.18nbspPerforms general hotel duty manager shifts in rotation with other department heads
1.19 Performs the duty of I.T. manager when that job function is not present. In that case the additional job responsibilities of the assumed position become valid
