[Description] This role is for a Supply Chain and Inter-company Team Lead position in APAC Record-to-Report (R2R) track. The R2R track's areas of focus include Intercompany Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Warranty Accounting, GL close, Local GAAP reporting and Local Tax Compliance. This role reports to R2R Hub Supply Chain and Inter-company Manager.

Key Qualifications

Must speak/ read/ write Japanese fluent level, English business level
At least 8 years of related commercial experience, of which at least 3 years are in an MNC environment.
Ability to assume leadership to drive for results in fast pace environment.
Ability to drive work in collaboration within and with business partners from other Finance and Operations groups to problem-solve and drive best practices.
Strong experience in inventory, supply chain, intercompany and/or warranty accounting will be preferred.
Experience in SAP system will be an advantage.
Strong passions in Finance systems and business process excellence.
Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Brings analytical excellence to value adding partnership. The ability to recognize and resolve issues within processes and organizations, while considering functional interdependencies.
Customer-oriented with excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
Mature, responsible, driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision.


He/She supports supply chain and intercompany accounting activities such as inventory accounting, intercompany legal entity arrangement, recharge and settlement, warranty accounting to achieve maximum operations efficiency and accuracy of supply chain financial flows.
Assume leadership within the team to challenge status quo and works with R2R Hub Supply Chain and Inter-company Manager to drive process change improvements so as to build consistent best-in-class systems and processes for APAC Supply Chain Accounting extending globally.
This includes working in close collaboration with team members and other functional teams in implementing changes and driving consistency as well as identifying standardization and simplification opportunities, to achieve optimal solutions on the supply chain process flows integrating finance considerations under AFP, US GAAP and local GAAP.
Being part of an organization that promotes excellence, he/she will ensure the robustness of the processes and internal controls as well as taking personal leadership to maintain the highest standard of controls and compliance.
Drive process and efficiency improvements through innovation, meet deliverables that align with key performance metrics and SLAs defined with key stakeholders.
He/she will be require to ensure proper documentation on procedures and controls are in place. Provide excellent customer services to both external and internal customers. Prepare and peer review periodic Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Manual Journal Vouchers.
He/she needs to be committed to partner with corporate and regional teams to review and properly account for supply chain / operational costs and accruals.
Require to lead and drive stakeholder communication and rigor.
He/she will also participate in systems and process improvement initiatives and projects discussion, provide decision support on to-be model.
Drive/participate in business initiatives and business expansion projects.
Accountable for process change management within Record to Report and to make recommendations to support business growth and changes in business models in the region.


Degree in Accounting/Finance, ACCA or equivalent.
Salary details
USD 60000.00 to USD 90000.00
