Vice President, Business Operations Job (Business Operations) (Islamic Finance Services), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. [Description] Key job responsibilities include: • Have strong understanding in asset origination, structuring, and execution in Islamic transactions • Play an integral role of Business Operations, responsible for sourcing, originating, structuring and executing asset transactions taking full ownership to ensure a pipeline of transactions which includes supporting the Shari’ah aspects of transactions to fulfil the mandate • Ability to handle both internal and external stakeholders such as shariah board, board of members for approval, dealing with trustees, custodians, lawyers, asset providers and such respectively • Consistently book and monitor the asset portfolio to ensure that all parameters are within the stipulated criteria of the programme • To ensure all procedures are followed with the highest level of integrity and honesty; constantly reviewing and improving all aspects under asset team • Have experience hands on with rating agencies handling with strong understanding of their areas of concern and addressing them efficiently • To perform ad-hoc duties given by management for activities under Business Operation and issuance team in order to enhance the efficiency of existing framework • Demonstrate strong leadership to take the organization forward for continuous improvements
Job Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Economics/Mathematics/Banking/Islamic Finance – Master will be an added advantage. • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Financial Sector, Treasury, Markets, Investment Banking or Islamic Banking background. • Have strong analytical and interpersonal skills. • Ability to structure solutions to facilitate Islamic transactions. • Capable of sound judgement with integrity and developing independent opinions. • Numerical aptitude required with interest in understanding data generated internally. • Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English & Bahasa Malaysia. • Must be confident, hardworking, strong desire to learn and perform. • A fast learner and result-oriented. • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure. • Ability to work in an international environment with good team spirit. • Skilled in Microsoft Offices tools. • Open to local and expatriates. • A team player with objectives to achieve goals as an organization.
