The purpose of the role is to support the external and internal disclosures primarily related to RWA with the ability to support Large Exposures and Leverage reporting. This is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to be at the forefront of supporting the bank in meeting its regulatory reporting commitments, assist the bank in providing valuable MI and analytics that enable business decisions to be made and seek opportunities that will allow the team to improve its service offering across the bank.


As RCCA are responsible for overall consolidation for key regulatory measures this offers a unique opportunity to get a good technical understanding of all risk types including Counterparty Credit Risk, Market Risk, CVA, Operational Risk, Credit Risks and capital measures that the team is responsible for overseeing.

Your Role

Consolidation of COREP, Pillar 3 and the results announcement including the review and challenge of disclosures provided by risk asset class teams across the globe. Partnering on issues that occur within reporting and where significant changes to approaches to reporting are mandated.

Identify suitability of controls and any potential deficiencies that need to escalated/monitored to resolution. Adhere to Regulatory Control Self Assessment controls that the team is subject to.

Support the running of the Governance Committees (Regulatory Reporting Oversight Committee) and follow up on actions raised for resolution.

Active contribution and management of working groups facilitated by the team (RROC Working Group), working with stakeholders to resolve issues that could impact reporting.

Responsibility for the review and provision of capital demand MI and metrics to Finance and optimising calculations to ensure efficient use of capital

Contribution to the QIS and IMF submissions and supporting ad hoc disclosures to other regulators across the globe.

Responsibility for the ICAAP submissions, working with key stakeholders within Group Risk to ensure that Pillar 2 assessments can be undertaken effectively.

Ensuring the appropriate control framework is in place to deliver accurate and timely external and internal reporting information and that all documentation is up to date and aligned with Barclays controls and standards.

Ensure the review and challenge of disclosures is executed in an organised manner that enables disclosures to be expedited with comfort ascertained on accuracy before submission to Group.

Liaising with other areas of the business globally including Treasury, Front Office, Product Control, IT, Operations to ensure completeness and accuracy of reporting.

Working closely with the business to close out queries in a timely manner.

Support project management teams to deliver changes to the defined target operating architecture.

Key incumbent who will face off to the Group functions and ensuring timely query resolution

Awareness of future changes to reporting (Pillar 3 and COREP) and working with the relevant change teams to enable successful implementation.

Key contributor for interpretation of regulatory changes to reporting and ensuring the rest of the team are prepared to deliver these from both a technical perspective and undertaking lens.

Technical proficiency RWA treatments across various complex productions and ensure these are captured correctly in the final submissions from the team

Support the RIS function in delivering synergies across the respective legal entity RROCs with an overall objective in accelerating the close of RWA disclosures.

Key involvement in projects to improve the timeliness and accuracy of reporting (Project Juno), providing business specifications and assisting in the testing to completion.

Essential Skills

University degree or equivalent

Excellent years of experience of working within a Reg function within the banking industry, essential that is at a manager level in their previous role

Desirable Skills

Experience and knowledge of PRA/CBI prudential regulatory reporting is critical. The individual needs to have a strong in-depth understanding of RWA calculations, their application and outcomes in the disclosures that are sent to the market and PRA/CBI

University degree educated

Proven track record of supervising individuals and leading other members of staff, providing mentoring and coaching.
