The Information Technology Department has an opening for a IT Sr. Manager, Asset and Compliance. This position is located in Pleasanton, California.
The IT Sr. Manager, Asset and Compliance will effectively manage IT assets throughout each phase of their lifecycle -- acquisition through retirement. In addition, they will help to reduce the total cost of ownership and increase the return on investment for IT assets, maximizing shareholder value for Albertsons Companies.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead the proactive asset monitoring and contract compliance functions
Lead IT asset lifecycle activities from requisition through disposal
Develop and implement IT Asset Management policies and procedures
Conduct vendor audits relating to both software and hardware
Maximize ROI with existing and future IT asset investments
Proactively identify IT cost saving opportunities, working with internal stakeholders
Respond to IT and business customer queries concerning licensing and support
Educate IT and business customers on Asset Management practices and policies
Maintain a good understanding of industry knowledge and trends
Evangelizes the ITAM program across the enterprise
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems and/or Computer Science, or relevant work experience
CISA and/or CSAM certification is a plus
5 -- 8 years of IT licensing audit and/or contract renewals experience
4 - 6 years in ITAM and/or financial experience in a large organization
2 - 4 years in a fast-paced Information Technology environment with Retail experience preferred
Must have excellent written and strong verbal/interpersonal communication skills
Able to facilitate discussions with IT engineering, support and with vendors
Able to conduct and interpret quantitative or qualitative analysis
Ability to translate licensing and support terms in vendor contracts to data collection/technical requirements
Proven ability to assess a companys effective licensing position in order to help identify cost savings opportunities relating to software and maintenance
Displays working knowledge of SAM tools, IT asset discovery technologies, and data analysis techniques (using Excel, Access, and ACL)
Must exhibit superior customer service and a commitment to team work
Strong knowledge and use of Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word
Working knowledge of Lawson Financial system is a plus
Possesses working knowledge of VMware virtualization, VB scripting and/or SQL querying
Independent in work ethic and thought process, seeking supervision or direction as needed
Positive attitude and strong team player with an ability to partner with others
Familiarity with a fast-paced Information Technology and/or Retail environment
Strong technical and analytical skills, and can interpret vendor licensing terms and conditions
Continuous improvement attitude -- able to seek out and implement leading ITAM practices
