As part of Pfizer Rare Disease North America, this individual will report directly to, the Key Account Management Team Lead for Cardiac Amyloidosis. The Tafamidis Field Reimbursement Manager will perform their duties under the strategic vision of the Pfizer Rare Disease overarching access and reimbursement plan and compliance standards. It will be this persons role and responsibility to: Provide proactive and reactive office calls with HCPs and office staff that have a need for support to enable appropriate patient access to Tafamidis, including helping to resolve reimbursement and coverage questions. Conduct proactive on-site education for HCPs/office staff regarding local/regional payer landscape, payer coverage and formulary change updates, payer policies (e.g., prior authorization, step edits, specialty pharmacy coverage), Hub activities, and patient support and financial assistance offerings. Distribute Pfizer RC-approved materials to HCPs/office staff relating to coverage and reimbursement matters, such as Hub enrollment forms (including PAP and copay assistance applications), Hub/patient access and financial assistance brochures, and billing and coding reference guides. Education concerning the Hub enrollment process. Reactively researching coding and claims-related questions by contacting payers to understand policy or procedures and to accurately complete and document claims per payer requirements. Providing HCPs with information on how patients may apply to the Pfizer PAP Providing HCPs with information on how patients may enroll in Pfizer copay programs. Their main role is to be the subject matter experts on reimbursement and coverage issues affecting Tafamidis in their assigned regions and to use that expertise to ensure appropriate patient access to Pfizer products. In addition to providing interpretive guidance and strategic insight to various internal Pfizer stakeholders as to the impact of potential reimbursement issues. All activity will be performed consistently with Pfizers mission, values, and policies and under the direction of their immediate supervisor the Key Account Management Team Lead for Cardiac Amyloidosis. This person must exhibit strong communication and relationship skills in order to be effective with a host of diverse customers. Must conduct themselves with the utmost discretion and confidentiality. Must adhere to strict company compliance guidelines and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 7 years pharmaceutical industry experience typically within the fields of pharmaceutical sales and/or coding and reimbursement. Minimum 3 years of medical billing or insurance claim management experience, preferably within the Pharmaceutical/ Biopharmaceutical sectors, Provider/Carrier Networks, or Government Agency. Reimbursement and Access experience is a must. Strong understanding of Rare Disease Reimbursement, Government Payment Systems, Provider/Carrier Networks, Co-Pay Assistance Programs, and knowledge of the Rare Disease policy dynamics that exist in the Rare Disease Community. Experience demonstrating exceptional communication and presentation skills, strategic planning and success in implementation of this plan to bring a return on investment. This individual must also have demonstrated leadership and success at working across internal boundaries and be able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to coordinate various unique objectives. Demonstrated ability to work in a highly regulated environment and adhere to strict company compliance guidelines and procedures.
