Infrastructure Engineer
up to 42,000 per annum + on call allowance (3,000)

CPS Group are seeking a motivated and talented Infrastructure Engineer to join a very well established international logistics company.

The role is ideal for a capable engineer with a broad range of 3rd line infrastructure experience. A significant portion of the role will be comprised of project work, so experience in large scale commercial projects is a must, with project management or team lead experience desirable.

The client enjoys a reputation for extremely high customer service levels, which is a core commitment at every level of the business. The client has expanded to the point where they cover all of mainland Europe, with over 800 staff across 100 countries.

Responsibilities

* Monitoring network performance and integrity
* Taking ownership of the administration of the firms key infrastructure
* Acting as a point of escalation for complex technical issues
* Automating tasks and monitoring their effectiveness
* Mentoring team members on technical issues
* Creating, overseeing and testing security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
* Maintaining detailed technical documentation
* Suggesting improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability

Technical Requirements

* Virtualisation experience (preferably VMware)
* Microsoft Active directory administration
* Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2003/2008/2008R2/2012/2012R2/2016/2016R2 and Linux
* Microsoft Office 2013, 2016 & Office365
* Understanding & Management of Thin Clients
* Citrix Administration
* Networking (TCPIP, Ping, Tracert, IPcConfig, PuTTY)
* Switch configuration knowledge advantageous
* Storage (SAN, NAS, DAS)
