Other Duties - Analyzes the Payroll database processes to correct errors and gain efficiency - Automates key entry processes using databases and scripting languages - Documents code to expedite troubleshooting and updates at a later time - Collaborates with the Payroll team and other teams onsite to ensure accurate reporting and ways to gain efficiency - Responsible for file server maintenance by working with site users and identifying aged and redundant data - Works with the Shared Services Development Group (SSDG) group to generate ad hoc reports to fulfill information requests from various functional groups when resources are not available to personally perform. - Trains teams on site how to run processes developed in the IT team and trains those in the Payroll IT team as well Preferred Competencies - Detail Orientation: Captures/documents specific and accurate information; learns subjects thoroughly and in detail; completes work with thoroughness; supplies appropriate details when requested; maintains organized files - Database Development and Management: Possesses ability to interpret and create queries of all difficulty (MS Access, VBA, SQL Server); Able to create Forms and functions (VBA) and generate reports from the datasets. Able to create the entire database with GUI for the users - Project Management: Demonstrates understanding of implementation objectives, project plan, and one's role within a project; participates in the implementation of a project; provides timely, thorough and concise updates for area of responsibility; identifies areas of risk and properly communicates them to the project manager - Working knowledge of union contractual language is desired
