Overtur Construction Applications Lead This person is responsible for gathering requirements, identifying and prioritizing construction focused features, establishing detailed requirements for each feature, working with the development team through design sessions to pin down interface and user process, performing demonstrations and training to the spec writing community within Allegion, and supporting the overall efforts of the Overtur Design Team, to include support of industry events and conferences. It is critical that this person have extensive experience in hardware, especially in the construction phase of the project; ideally this is a specification writer who has worked as or with a construction company. This person further should have a detailed knowledge of product distribution, having either worked for or as a Distributor. This person will work with general contractors, distributors, and architects to gather requirements and engage in design sessions to ensure the problems are clearly stated and solutions holistically designed. This person will engage directly with the other application/feature leads and other IT and business owners within Allegion as necessary and appropriate. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 5 years of direct experience with door hardware, preferably as a specification writer Minimum of 5 years working for or with a construction company as a project manager Minimum of 3 years working for or with a door hardware distributor (does not have to be Allegion products) Fluent with personal computers and Microsoft Office applications Programming skills and/or knowledge not required Accurate, detail-oriented Self-motivated with the ability to establish priorities and effectively manage time to complete multiple tasks within specified time frames Ability to work independently with minimal direct management and/or guidance, yet strong ability to work with a team In depth knowledge of door hardware solutions, including mechanical and electronic security product and hardware solutions (AHC / EHC, or AOC), from mechanical access/egress control to total facility integration Solid knowledge in security and physical security application and theory with PSP or CPP credentials.
